Tatuaje T110 Cigar Review
First, a little bit of information on this limited edition Tatuaje cigar. According to what I could find online, the T110 was created for a store in Honolulu, Hawaii, and evidently only 200 boxes of 25 were created. They were priced at $10 a stick, or $225 a box. The T110 is comprised of all ligero tobacco, and is a blend of ligeros from Jalapa and Esteli tobacco. Also, word is that another 200 boxes are going to be produced for the same shop this coming winter. Again, this information is not confirmed, and it would be great if Pete could comment on the validity of this information. Now, on to the review.

The Pre-Smoke
This Tatuaje T110 was a short robusto by the looks of it, but I didn’t have any way of measuring it and can’t find any information on size. It was firmly packed, and had a pre-light aroma of barnyard with some sweetness. The pre-light draw was very nice, with hints of raisin and pepper. The draw was perfect, and the punch cut worked flawlessly.
The Burn
The burn was essentially perfect on this cigar, only requiring one or two retouches towards the end. The ash was fairly solid, with a little bit of flakiness to it. I only had to ash the cigar twice, and both times required a firm tap. The smoke was thick and coated the mouth.
The Flavor
The initial flavor on this cigar was a lot of pepper, as I suspected. The smoke was full bodied, and really coated the inside of my mouth. Also, I could tell right away that this cigar was going to pack a serious punch. By the time I was finished, I had a very nice nicotine buzz going, but it definitely wasn’t too much. After about the first half inch, a nice sweetness came into play, which I would describe as a gingerbread flavor. I really enjoyed this flavor, and this was one of the first cigars that I have picked up this particular flavor in. The flavor on the retrohale was extremely peppery, but also very enjoyable. The last third brought on a sweet woodiness that was very enjoyable. I smoked this cigar down to about a half of an inch, and it stayed cool the entire time. I very rarely smoke cigars past the band point, but this cigar allowed it and even encouraged it.
The Price
At $10 a stick, this cigar is honestly a little bit out of my normal price range, especially when you take the size into consideration. That said, I will still try to get my hands on a five pack of these cigars at the very least, mainly because this cigar was so enjoyable.
The Verdict
I really enjoyed this cigar, and was sad to know that this was my only one. I have already secured a five pack, but won’t be getting it until January at the earliest. I would encourage you to try this cigar if you can find it. The flavors fit my flavor profile perfectly, and I could easily smoke these on a regular basis. I think this would be a perfect cigar to end the night after a nice meal. At the same time, this is definitely not a cigar for new smokers, because the strength could negatively effect those without the tolerance for a large dose of nicotine.
Liked It: Definitely.
Buy It Again: Definitely.
Recommend It: Definitely, but not to new smokers.

Nice pic and nice review. Sorry I couldn’t give you more, all I have left is 5 of them. I hope your right about more coming out in the winter.
I know I’m right about more of these coming out. I already have my name down for a 5pk. Go on CigarHops.com for more info.
Nice review, John. You think it was a better smoke than the Black robusto?
I’d have to smoke another Black to judge that. The one Black I smoked had draw problems. I’ll smoke one over my honeymoon.
I have one as well and I have yet to smoke it. Thanks for the review and I look forward to the smoke.
I got word from the shop in Hawaii that they are getting 190 boxes. I put a hold for one box.
I agree. This is a very enjoyable smoke that packs a punch. I’ll hopefully get a few more.
I can understand why this cigar packs a punch – a lot of ligero. I have a question:
Which is stronger? …a cigar with a double wrapper or a cigar with double or tripple ligero. Is it just a matter of preference? Is there a difference? Thanks.
What do you mean by a double wrapper? Generally, strength comes mostly from ligero, so generally that would effect it more.
John and Pam. If I am not mistaken Pam is referring the LX2 by CA0. The x2 stands for a double wrapper of ligero.
Pappy
I’m drooling. But damn… Ten bux a stick kills me.
It’s worth it.
What the hell is ciagarhops?
T110s will be out in Jan and avail from the same shop in HI that got them the first time around per Pete and the owner of said shop. WaHooo!!
I ordered a few from the shop in Hawaii this summer. I was so impressed with the customer service, contact, and shipping that I would NEVER hesitate to do business with them again. The cigars showed up in what amounts to a vault these days compared to most online stores.
I enjoyed the smokes, but to the one guys question about the black, I liked the black more. The sweet and spicy flavors of the black make it my second favorite Tat ever! I loved the band and size of the T110. Nice review!
