Press Release: Miami Cigar Extravaganza at Cigar Inn, NYC

I received an email this morning containing a press release from Miami Cigar & Co. This press release included some very exciting news about a new line of cigars coming out of the Don Pepin Garcia camp. The cigar is called the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial, and is the brainchild of Don Pepin’s son, Jaime Garcia. The cigar will be officially released in January of 2010 and shipped that spring, but according to the press release consumers will have a chance to acquire these cigars at the “Miami Cigar Extravaganza” at the Cigar Inn in New York City. I will definitely be securing a box for myself, and cannot wait to try these new cigars from Jaime Garcia.

Miami, FL, 10 November… Miami Cigar & Company announced that their “Miami Cigar Extravaganza” will take place at Cigar Inn, 1016 Second Avenue (at 54th Street), New York City, NY, on Saturday, 12 December.

Starting at 11:00 AM and running until midnight, the event will bring Nestor Miranda, Rene Castaneda of Miami Cigar & Company, Eddie Ortega and Erik Espinosa of EO Brands, Pepin, Jaime and Janny Garcia, as well as noted cigar connoisseur and writer, Gary J. Arzt to Cigar Inn to celebrate and enjoy, with Cigar Inns patrons, the Nestor Miranda Collection Special Selection, Mi Barrio, My Father and La Aurora cigars. Unfortunately, the schedule of neither Guillermo Leon nor Jose Blanco of La Aurora, allow them to be present as planned.

The event will also offer the first look at Jaime Garcia’s latest creation, Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial, to be launched in January 2010 and shipped in the spring of that year.

“We really enjoy having Nestor at an event. Everyone enjoys him. We’re all sort of overwhelmed, and grateful, that Jaime is bring a ‘sneak preview’ of his Reserva Especial to the event, long before it is scheduled to be released,” Bass Fakih remarked.

There are only 200 boxes of Mi Barrio left and they will be available at the event, along with the last boxes of Nestor Miranda 20 Anniversario “Danno”. The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial is a special pre-release, in a very limited quantity, which Jaime has prepared as a courtesy to Gus, Billy and Bass Fakih.

Throughout the day, food will be served; and there will be a Mojito Bar, Presidente beer and Barceló Imperial Rum along with a bevy of beautiful Barceló girls! A Latin Jazz Band will play during the day.

“There is no better place to do an event in NYC…Gus, Billy and Bass get tremendous a turn out and the Nestor and I both enjoy being there. This will be one of our biggest events of the year,” said Rene Castaneda, Miami Cigar & Company, Vice President.

Cigar Inn on Second Avenue is the home of the only Cigar Aficionado Lounge, and this will be the only event in the country bringing together these major figures from the cigar industry.
