Jose Blanco of La Aurora Interview
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go to a blending seminar put on by Jose Blanco of La Aurora. I filmed the entire seminar, but don’t know if I am going to post it because of the length, which was about an hour and a half. Let me know in the comments if you are interested in seeing the seminar, and I might post it. Anyway, after the seminar, Jose was nice enough to sit down with me for an interview. His insight into the industry was very interesting to hear, and hearing how he trained his palate was also interesting. I hope you enjoy the interview, and thanks for checking out The Weekly Cigar!

I love your website, but Johnny’s videos need to have a better volume level… Hard to hear him well. I would be interested in seeing the blending seminar… Maybe if it is too big for posting, you could make a DVD available through one of the online publishers like CafePress… If you post them at cost, people could get it if they wanted it and you could save the bandwidth bills… Or you could break it up and post on youtube..
Thanks for the input Scott. I will work on increasing the volume in my videos in the future. The only problem with posting them to YouTube is that I would have to break it up in 10 minute segments. We’ll see, I’ll work on it.
Hey John: Thanks for the Jose Blanco interview. Jose is one of the great gentleman of the cigar industry. I am sure you learned a lot at the seminar. Maybe you could break it down into 15 minute segments and people could watch at their lesiure.

I would love to attend this seminar. Any idea if there is a schedule of when these are held? Thanks for sharing this Johnny.
I think your best bet would to go on La Aurora’s website.
If its possible to post, I would love to see the entire blending seminar. Thanks
