Young’s Double Chocolate Stout Beer Review

This week, me and the guys review the Young’s Double Chocolate Stout. This was an interesting beer, and while we weren’t big fans of the beer, I’d recommend trying it. Imagine Guinness with some cocoa powder added to it and you’ll be pretty close to what this beer tasted like. I’m not a huge Guinness guy, so you can see why I wasn’t a huge fan of this beer. Anyway, enjoy the review, and thanks for watching!

good review, i have had this beer and yeah im not a fan bc of that tin flavor thats there. a beer that u might like is left hand milk stout, has allot of good flavor in it.

  3. Nice review! I actually really liked this beer although I’ve not had it from a can. From a bottle or on tap, its a great brew! I’d agree also w/ Aaron b, Left Hand Milk Stout is really good too.

“me and the guys” – what are we dealing with here, a 7th grade education ? Sorry, i can’t take much legitimacy from this review.

    • I know it’s improper English, that’s just how I’ve chosen to open every Brew Review. I would learn to capitalize before I criticized incorrect grammar. This is a blog, not a newspaper. The style of writing is conversational.

I love this beer, although I prefer it from the bottle if possible. I consider this a good “dessert” beer, and drink it quite regularly :)

  6. Hi, nice review.
I’m not usually a big fan of chocolate beers but Doppo White Chocolate from Japan is pretty good (and unusual).

  7. I discovered this beer at a little pub in Denmark of all places that had it on tap. It was seriously delicious. Immediately became one of my favorites. After that I searched far and wide for it again and a few years later in London went to a Young’s pub, thinking they’d have it for sure. Well for some reason they only had it bottles, and it wasn’t nearly as good. Since then I’ve found it in stores here in the US, in bottles, and it’s about the same — meh, petty good, but not great. Not like it was when I first had it, on tap. If by some chance you ever find yourself somewhere with it on tap, I recommend giving it another shot.
