Tusker Premium Lager Beer Review
This week, me and the boys review the Tusker Premium Lager. Needless to say, I wasn’t too impressed with this beer, and found it lacking flavor. It wasn’t extremely cheap, and is not up to par with many of the beers in this price range. The story behind the brand is pretty cool, but that wasn’t enough to make me want to try this beer ever again. I hope you guys enjoy the video, and thanks for checking out The Weekly Cigar.

Being from Kenya, in East Africa Where Tusker comes from, I just have one thing to say. You guys should try, the Tusker Malt, it comes in a green bottle. Also I think they make the export Tusker different, having tasted the ones sold here in the USA and the One I would buy at my local bar back home, I honestly Believe they are different.
In a nutshell the Real Tusker deserves a better rating than what you gave..

I agree with your take on this beer. I had one about a year ago that i bought at Total Wine and was so disappointed. I normally like IPAs but can appreciate a beer that does not have a big hop profile. This beer just seems to lack any sort of character.
Definitely do not confuse the godawful Tusker Lager (in the brown bottle) with the world-famous and much-missed Tusker Premium Malt Lager. That was Ernest Hemingway’s favorite beer and it was a distinct pleasure to consume. Perfect beer for hot weather.
The problem is, it has vanished from American shelves. Utterly. I’ve tried to find it–even offered a bounty of $100 for just six bottles–but it has yet to re-appear. Someone mentioned that there was some kind of ‘beer war’ in Kenya a while ago and this variety was pushed out of competition by Guinness.
Have not been able to corroborate this lurid tale. I just want my Tusker back though…
