Schneider Aventinus Weizenbock Beer Review

This week, I review the Schneider Aventinus, a weizenbock from Schneider & Sohn brewery. Clocking in at 8.2% ABV, this is Germany’s “imperial wheat”, if you will. Essentially, this beer has twice the strength, flavor and body of your typical wheat beer. If that sounds like it’d be something you’d enjoy, I’d encourage you to give it a try.

Also, before I forget, I am doing this series of reviews for my buddy Kevin from BBQSmokerSite.com. Kevin’s site is about everything BBQ-related, and he asked me to review a few beers that would pair well with barbecue. I accepted, and will be doing a handful of pairing/reviews, which will be published on both of our sites. Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for the great review of this beer, Johnny. I’ve had a lot of requests for where to get it locally! Gonna try Total Wine and More in Orlando.
