New Belgium La Folie Lips of Faith Craft Beer Review

Today, Patrick, John Brooke (my dad) and I review the New Belgium La Folie, a sour Flanders Red Ale from New Belgium‘s Lips of Faith series. If you like sour beers, you need to try this beer. It was insanely sour, but I loved every second of it. The only fault of this beer is its $13.99 price tag, but considering the age on this beer, that’s a small price to pay. Enjoy the review!

  1. I’m really curious about sours, but it kinda sounds like this isn’t exactly a good place to start. Maybe I’ll try that Russian river you mentioned earlier in the video.

  2. I’m not a huge fan of sours in general. I’m curious though: Do the souring bacteria eat up sugars your yeast could have eaten? i.e. Does a sour style make for a weaker beer, given the same original gravity?
