Bell’s Java Stout Imperial Stout Beer Review

This week, I’m reviewing the Bell’s Java Stout, a 7.5% ABV Imperial Stout from Bell’s Brewery. This is my first mobile review on the site, so bear with me on any spelling errors.

Appearance: Thick, tan head. Pours pitch black. Medium carbonation Great looking beer.

Smell: Smells exactly like fresh brewed coffee. They weren’t joking when they called it the Java Stout.

Taste: Just like coffee with sugar and cream. Bitter on the back end.

Mouthfeel / Drinkability: Medium viscosity, not very thick for the style. More drinkable than the typical Imperial Stout, but I’d say that’s a good thing.

Rating: 93, great beer
